Community Use

The Tir-na-nOg Theatre School is happy to make its auditorium available for community use by other groups and individuals at very reasonable rates during times allowed by its schedule of classes and productions.  This comfortable and intimate venue seats 75, in six tiered rows under a twenty foot vaulted ceiling, each row raised 12 inches above that preceding it to allow for excellent sight lines from every one of the antique (c. 1930’s) cushioned and velour-upholstered theatre chairs.

Its gracefully contoured stage covers 680 square feet, with a full balcony traversing the width of the hall at the upstage, accessible by staircase from the mainstage and by ladders at each corner from behind.

The photo above is from the play ‘La Parfumerie’ by Miklós László, which was performed by an adult group at the Tir-na-nOg Theatre School.

  • User groups have access to a ‘green room’ area and a dressing room/washroom, which together measure another 200 square feet.

  • The rental fee includes a basic stage lighting system and technical assistance.

  • The Tir-na-nOg Theatre School runs Front-of-House services: a coffee bar, taking/selling tickets at the door, etc. for every public event in the building.

Please note ~ during most weeks of the year there are some restrictions on availability to accommodate the regular classes running in the building.
